Developing a theatre for Wales.
Wales actors was there to build live theatre talent in Wales, and was a national touring theatre. We believe in the power of storytelling and the importance of artistic expression outside of conventional Uk aspirations and theatre spaces. Our events serve as a canvas where creativity thrives and voices are amplified. We were and are informed by Joan Littlewoods theatre (Oh what a lovely War) Did you know when we started in 1985 we also set up a co-operative actors agency, Wales Actor's Management. Just so we could support actors in Wales, not London. In 1985 we referred to welsh theatre as the 125 Theatre. That is casting for Wales, took place in London and actors came up on the 125 service to Cardiff and did not often come from or live in Wales. Wales was being drained of talent.
